Our Accounting department is expanding, and we are seeking to recruit dynamic professionals to join us in our Limassol office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work alongside with senior members of the team on a broad range of challenging clients, spanning from large groups to small business owners
- Record the transactions of our clients on our in-house accounting software or on clients' own software
- Communicate directly with clients to ascertain business needs and ensure accurate reflection of their business affairs
- Maintain proper books and records for our clients, preserving high quality standards
- Perform reconciliations of bank, brokers', cash and other similar accounts
- Liaise with customers and suppliers of our clients, ensuring agreement of balances
- Perform detailed calculations and recording of loan and other similar agreements
- Assist our senior accountants in undertaking the Payroll function of our clients
- Complete and submit various Tax, Vat and other similar forms
- Undertake registrations with the relevant government authorities
- Liaise with the Cyprus Tax Department to handle Tax and Vat matters of allocated client portfolio
- Effective collaboration with other parts of our firm such as Audit, Tax, Compliance
- Keep up to date with current developments in the fields of accounting and taxation and apply knowledge to relevant client cases
- Understand and analyse technical client issues and undertake effective research towards providing tailor-made efficient solutions
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree from a reputable University in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields
- Holder of ADIT or similar professional qualification would be considered an advantage
- Up to two (2) years of relevant experience in a bookkeeping of similar professional services department
- Excellent command of the Greek and English languages, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Intelisoft accounting software and other mainstream accounting programs will be considered an advantage
- Team player attitude, a creative thinker and fast learner
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Great organisational skills
- Detail oriented and conscientious approach
